Since our inception in 1979, we at CHIPSA have established the first multidisciplinary integrative medical protocols in North America, involving the integration of the Gerson Therapy along with advanced immunity enhancing protocols currently recommended by the National Institute of Health (NIH). The Legendary Dr. Josef Issels Finished His Career at Chipsa Gerson Therapy Hospital
For the last years of his life, we had the collaboration of Dr. Josef Issels who joined the CHIPSA staff as co-principal investigator, bringing more than 40 years of experience serving others using immunotherapy treatments as well as his own autologous cancer vaccines. The mixed bacterial vaccine of Dr. William B. Coley, M.D. is a current standard protocol. CHIPSA Hospital has also added Dr. Evangelos Danopoulos’ well-documented urea/creatine treatment for cancer. The placental extract vaccines developed by Russian immunologist Constantin Govallo, M.D., are also now available as an immunoembryological therapy. These are the latest additions to CHIPSA hospitals standard protocols for treatment of patients with degenerative diseases including cancer.
The dietary aspects of patient management used at CHIPSA Hospital were developed empirically over the course of 50 years starting back in pre-war Germany and continuing on to the present. Gradually, by trial and error, an integrated set of medical treatments has evolved. The initial research was done at the University of Munich. Its extraordinary laboratory support was funded both by the Bavarian and Prussian federal governments. It focused on the use of diet and medications to improve tissue edema occurring in a variety of pathologies. Edema is characterized by salt and water changes that Cope, in modern times, has defined as Tissue Damage Syndrome – decreased cell potassium, increased cell sodium, and increased cell water (cell swelling) – changes that are also observed after death. Nutritional treatment to provide cells with a high potassium, low sodium environment improved edema and has led to enhanced tissue resistance and immunities, and therefore better outcomes. Our program is individualized to meet the need of the patient, but it does have uniform components.
For most patients at Chipsa Hospital, the dietary portion of treatment consists of restricted intake of salt, fat, and (temporarily) protein. We supply very high quantities of many nutrients and phytochemicals while at the same time forcing fluids (13 hourly feedings of raw fruit and vegetable juices) daily along with low fat lacto-vegetarian meals that are served 3 per day. This is combined with our integrative medications to enhance corporal metabolism.
